#OOTD Summer Fun Outfit!!

    Hey Lovelies! So today I have a fun outfit to show you! I was going to lunch with some people, and I was getting compliments from everyone! So I knew if random people were complimenting me, then I definitely need to show it to my lovely viewers! I love this outfit especially now, cause it is perfect for summer! It shows some midrift, but not too much! The skirt I just got and I am in love, I love the floral print; finally I have found the perfect circle skirt! I like this crop top because it is light weight and perfect for hot summer days! I just feel like the wedges just finish the outfit! Since so much is going on with the floral and stripes, I decided to add just a gold bracelet!

DIY Hair Masks!!

Hey lovelies!! I do so many fashion posts, not many hair posts. So today I am talking about two hair DIY masks that you could make right in your kitchen with ingredients mostly everyone has, or can get very easily!! The first one is dealing with dull, lifeless hair! You will be able to revive your lustrous strands making them have a little more body and shine! The second mask will be a damage repair mask! I know that some deep conditioning masks can be pricey and not everyone can afford them, so I have the best mask that isn't to pricey and works just as well. 

Mask 1: Revive Dull Strands:

    You will need 1 over ripe banana and a wide tooth comb. Mash the banana into a paste consistency. Apply it to hair, wet or dry. Let it sit in your hair for 30 minutes. After, use a wide tooth comb to get the banana out of your hair and shampoo and condition thoroughly. You will have glossy and shiny hair in no time!!

Mask 2: Damage Repair:

    You will need 2 eggs, 2 tbsp. (tablespoons) of olive oil, 1/2 ripe avocado, and 2 oz. (ounces) of water. Combine all the ingredients into a bowl, then apply it to dry hair with your fingers. Let it sit in your hair for 10 minutes. Rinse and shampoo thoroughly. This mask is great because it adds vitamins and fatty acids into the cuticles of the hair, fixing the damage!

Are You a Perfume Expert??

Hey Lovelies!! I love to wear perfume; to me it makes me feel girlie and complete!! I always think of it as the finishing product to any great outfit. I know everyone does the old technique of the spray and walk through but, you may not know how to put on your perfume the right way. So, today I will be talking about the right way to apply perfume to make it vibrant and last longer. Let’s begin… 

 • Always use a fragrance free body wash and moisturizer. 

 • Perfume lasts longer when applied to a moisturized area. 

 • You should apply your perfume right after the shower when you are damp, and right before you put clothes on. 

 • Your pulse areas are where you should put your perfume; for example on the inner wrists and back of ears. 

 • Don’t rub your wrists together; this can make you skins natural oils and your perfume to mix, thus making an altered scent from the friction of the movement.

Back To School Outfit Ideas!!

Hey Lovelies!! I have a fashion post today!! So since it is back to school season now, I decided to pick 5 outfits for the first week of school!! No matter if you’re going into middle school, high school, or college, you can get inspiration from at least one of these outfits!! Just remember try to keep in mind your dress code, if you have one; you can critique these outfits to better suit you!! So let’s begin!!

1. Casual and Comfy!! I chose to pair this black crop top from H&M with high waist lace shorts from Forever 21. To bring the shirt and shorts together I decided to add this belt which matches with these strappy sandals from Target!!

2. Sophisticated and Chic!! I paired this floral crop top from Forever 21 with high waist shorts also from Forever 21. The bronzy gold strappy sandals, in my opinion, really go well with the colors in the shirt. P.S. how cool is the back of this shirt!!

3. Laid Back and Cute!! The turquoise linen shirt is from Forever 21 which pairs nicely with the geometric printed leggings also from Forever 21. The sandals are from Target; I really like how they look, I don’t know why but they look tribally to me, oddly enough!!

4. Rock and Sassy!! I love the overalls trend, so I decided to wear a denim pair from Blank NYC. I put an embellished crop top under from Forever 21. You could always put a shirt under to cover up more or just through on a light weight cardigan!!

5. Girlie and Pretty!! I love this maxi dress is a little short so that I can see my Steve Madden Wedges. I like how the white stripes in the dress go with the shoes!!!

Hey Lovelies!! I have a fashion post today!! I recently did some shopping and I stopped into The Denim Project in Easton, Pennsylvania. This store sells high end premium denim, which is right up my alley! They have so many different brands including DL 1961, Blank NYC, Raleigh, and Cult of Individuality, to name a few. The Denim Project sells both woman and men collections, with a wide spread of colors and types of denim! 

They sell jeans, dresses, and tops! You can finish off an amazing outfit that you buy there with jewelry and scarves!! It is a very trendy store and perfect for everyone!!

DIY Sea Salt Spray!!

Hey Lovelies!! So today I will tell you how to make a sea salt spray for your hair!! It can give your hair beachy waves that look good on everyone!! Since it is the summer, I know a lot of people don’t like using heat on their hair but still want those nice waves! You can use this spray on dry or wet hair; you can use it on hair that just came out of the ocean too!! Just spray it evenly on your hair and you can scrunch your hair a little to get more of a curl!! So let’s begin!!

What you will need:

· Hair Gel

· Spray Bottle

· Coconut Oil

· Sea Salt

· 1 Cup of warm water

· Teaspoon

Steps:

1.      Put the warm water into your spray bottle.

2.      Add a teaspoon of sea salt to your spray bottle. 

3.      Add half a teaspoon of coconut oil to your spray bottle, the reason for this is because it will prevent your hair from drying out because sea salt will dry your hair out.

4.      Add half a teaspoon of hair gel to your spray bottle to help keep the curl.

5.      Shake all the ingredients are mixed together!!

WHO, WHAT, SPF??

                Hey Lovelies!! Sorry I haven’t posted in such a long time!! But today I am back and ready!! It is getting hotter and many of you are ready to go out in the sun, but, I decided to let you know some facts and that important SPF and some great sunscreens!! So let’s begin!!

                There are so many sunscreens out in the market. Some say they will defend against sun damage, others premature aging and others waterproof, and then you have the tanning lotions. What was the difference between sun block and sunscreen?? What is UVA/UVB and broad-spectrum?? Waterproof versus water resistant? The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) passed a law that ensured new and improved packaging coming out this year! You will only see water resistant for solutions that last up to 40 – 80 minutes. Broad spectrum on solutions that live up to the highest protection levels of UVA/UVB sunrays. UVA are the rays that age skin, while UVB are the rays that burn skin. Any solution that doesn’t meet the broad-spectrum level will be called UVA/UVB protection.  Always look for broad-spectrum! Anything under SPF 15 will have labels that indicate a risk for skin cancer. Skin cancer is rising in the USA and is the most common cancer in the USA. You should be using at least SPF 45 every time you are in the sun! JUST REMEMBER, you can still get a tan with SPF 50, and it will be the safe way too!!

Here are some great sunscreens:

Dry or Sensitive Skin: Aveeno Protect + Hydrate Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ($10): The oatmeal is great for dry and sensitive skin because it will sooth the skin while still being hydrating, nourishing, and the biggest thing of all, protecting your skin from the sun!! It soaks into the skin fast and is not oily as an added plus!!

If you burn easily: Neutrogena Beach Defense Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 70 ($11): it is a light creamy formula, that doesn’t smell bad (like all of these sunscreens I am showing you). You do need to reapply it (like all the other sunscreens) but it gives a very good protection, and you will still get a tan!! Does come in spray form!! Water resistant for 80 minutes.

Bronze Glow: Australian Gold Sheer Coverage Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Spray ($12): Bronzing oil, with SPF 50!! Like who doesn’t want this!! It gives a bronzy glow and does everything tanning oil does, but without the harmful part!! Water resistant for 80 minutes.

Non Aerosol Spray: Alba Botanica Very Emollient Sunscreen Sport Spray SPF 40 ($11): It does need to be rubbed in but does get sprayed evenly on the skin!! Water resistant for 80 minutes.

Sunscreen/Antioxidants: Dr. T's Supergoop Continuous Mist Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ($19): The sunscreen has antioxidant vitamin C which helps to brighten skin. Natural citrus oils make this sunscreen smell oh so fresh!! Water resistant for 80 minutes.

Water Sports: Nature's Gate Aqua Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Aqua Sunscreen ($7): This sunscreen was designed for water sports. It is the thickest consistency and has a mixture of zinc oxide and chemical sunscreen ingredients for that super SPF 50. Shea butter, chamomile, and rosemary give it hydration effects. This is perfect for any person that stays in the sun and water for a long time! Water resistant for 80 minutes.

What to Do Throughout the Week Before a Prom/ Special Occasion

I know some girls are getting ready for prom or a special occasion and sorting everything out, but there are still some that are stuck and have no idea what to really do. So today I will talk about exactly what you should do the week leading up to prom or any formal night where you want to look your best! So let’s begin:

5 days to 1 week before:

Stop the acne. If your breakouts are red, then use eye drops on them to sooth the redness, it also helps with anti-inflammatory agents! Aldo, you can use any acne spot treatment now to kill the bacteria that is causing the acne.

5 days to 1 day before:

            Whiten your teeth! Take your time at whitening, your teeth are delicate and they need extra care, so don’t rush it!

            Nourish you hair. You should be using moraccan oil, deep repair/ moisturizing hair masks, or leave in conditions to make sure your hair will be in tip top shape, strength, and shine!

3 to 4 days before:

            Brighten and Improve your complexion. You can use any mask that either deep cleans or detoxifies your skin, even a peel off mask will work. For a DIY Brightening exfoliating scrub, take brown sugar and olive oil, mix it up and scrub it onto your face and lips in a circular motion. This removes dead skin cells and the olive oil will add softness and moisture.

            Bleach your mustache (or peach fuzz).

2 to 3 days before:

            Pluck or wax your eyebrows. You want to give your skin time to heel after plucking/ waxing so doing it 2 to 3 days before will ensure that you are still not red or irritated around the brows.

1 day before:

            Shave or wax your legs. This is the perfect time because your legs will still be smooth by the time of the event but it will also be healed.

            Fake tan/ spray tanning time. Exfoliate and shave/ wax first then apply it or get it done. If you get it done the day before, it will have enough time to develop and soak into the skin, making it last longer and making sure there are no more streaks.
